It's been awhile

Sorry its been so long. I've been busy and not really wanting to use my time to blog. I've been battling some sort of cold + allergies deal. The word "cold" makes it seem less pathogenic, but to tell you the truth, its been kicking my butt. I can barely make it through the school day, only to come home, take a nap, then head to bed around 9pm. Its yuck. NetiPots are the best thing EVER invented for a head cold...fyi if you ever are desperate during a one.

Well, spring break was waay too short. We left for Georgia Thursday night...yes, I drove the entire 7 hours down. When we finally reached Soperton at midnight, we ended up staying up even later (1:30 or so) to visit with his parents. Who visits that late at night? Well...we did.

The weekend was enjoyable. We just hung out on Friday after our run (yes, Brandon wanted to run with me). Saturday Brandon had his alumni baseball game. It was hot...and there was sunburning going on. However, it was entertaining to see none of the crew get into the final home run derby. Yep, Brandon, Nate, nor Cory made the final. However, they were all able to hit homeruns at some point.

We all headed to Nate and Carly's for the normal get together. It was so good to see everyone and catch up. We were also able to see Aries and Megan's new little addition, Elly, on Sunday before Easter dinner with the gang. She's adorable and it only made us more excited to have our own....maybe sooner than we talked about :)

I'm finally back in the swing of things at school. Only 7 1/2 weeks of school left! This week has already flown by, so that makes me more excited for the summer. I started this week hardcore on my diet for the beach and I can't even workout! Hopefully the campground will still be there after the fires in Conway, SC. Yikes!

Oh, I almost forgot the most important event this past week! Brandon and I are in The Kennel Club - Chateau Morrisette's wine club, you could say. We went to the open house this past Saturday for free food, wine tasting, and tours. It was so nice...little bit of a drive, but it was beautiful and yummy :)
