My other half

All of those who have a significant other might appreciate this....

So, Brandon and I have our ups and downs. The downs are usually (yes, I can't believe I'm saying this) a result of me being in a bad mood or sleepy. We don't really fight with each other. Some days are busy and we don't get to enjoy the company of one another. Overall, we fit well together because both of us (especially him) don't hold grudges over each other. We get past it, talk about it, and leave it in the past. We talk more now about serious stuff like finances, cars, houses, babies...grown up stuff. But I will say about 70% of the time, we don't get to just sit back and ENJOY each other.

So, last night was one of the 30% of our time together. Everything we said to each other made one of us laugh or smile. Even though we were packing/cleaning/laundry for the weekend...the excitement of the weekend already hit us as we spent the night laughing with each other. These are the days/nights that make everything else worth it. They aren't as frequent as they used to be (like everyday when I was at VT) but its a constant reminder to me of why I chose him to spend my life with. I know this may be boring for some readers (so sorry), but I hope you understand. Its definitely something every relationship needs.

Going to GA always brings out the best in both of us because its a stress-free, worry-free place for us to visit. There's literally NOTHING to do but spend quality time with family and friends. We both are looking forward to the visit that begins this afternoon. I will be sure to update my blog on the fun events ahead.

I used to be big into collecting quotes...so I will leave you with a few inspirational quotes that I've enjoyed.

Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well. -- Josh Billings

The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart. ~Elisabeth Foley

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. ~e.e. cummings

For we walk by faith, not by sight. ~II Corinthians 5:7

This one created the title of my blog:
