Days are long, but the years are short.

A colleague of mine coined that phrase for me, "The days are long, but the years are short"  Looking back at the last 16 months, it is so true.  I remember thinking, it will be a long time before my little girl is walking and talking, but that sure did happen fast.

So this week, she's not quite doing sentences, but definitely two words and holding a conversation with me.  The other day when I picked her up from the sitter I handed her a snack (for those of you who don't know, Caroline is quite impatient and pick up time is pushing her lunchtime.  With crazy traffic - sorry Em - it can make the car ride a little longer, meaning a screaming C)  So she had a ziplock bag of lucky charms minus the marshmallows.  I forgot to open the bag, so once she started down the road, I heard, "Mama, open pease."  My sweet girl was asking me to open the bag.  I handed it back to her and she said "chuchu" or thank you.

16 months on the 10th, weening the bottle and pappy...and we bought a potty today.  side note: she LOVES the potty.  Always running to it, sitting on it, and showing her daddy her new toy.
