We spent our Memorial weekend down in rainy Georgia. Mom, Dad, Jenny, Robbie, and the baby headed down with us to enjoy some southern cooking (which we had a lot of). It rained...and I mean inches in one day. So then we just brought it back with us! We had a good time because its always nice seeing everyone.
Then it was back to reality...when everyone in GA has finished school (at least with the kiddos). I was jealous. I still have 2 weeks of students left. It was hard coming back on Wednesday (yes we had Tuesday off too!) BUT things to look forward to: 1.) Anniversary weekend 2.) Graduation on June 12 3.) Myrtle Beach on June 19!
Brandon and I got back into house shopping more too, since we've been slacking and noticing houses aren't lasting long. We'll find one we want to see one day and its under contract the next. Its already happened several times. So we looked yesterday. We only saw 4, but it was eventful.
One house, in Salem, wasn't bad since it was completely remodeled and EVERYTHING new. We now know why is was listed low....literally the floors are slanted. There is a slope in every room and you're surrounded by a junkyard (neighbors).
One house had some work to go into it and it had a yellow jacket nest...which got the best of me- one attacked my foot and stung me. Wow, never knew a "bee" could hurt that badly.
The last house we looked at has potential. We both really liked it...both layout and location. Its older (1960's), but it gave us that feeling. Its a little pricey, so we're not acting too quickly, but we're definitely interested and trying to get some info so this one isn't snatched up!
I will keep you updated on the house search. Looks like we've got a nice anniversary weekend planned. I may be trying my first round of golf! I'll let you know how it goes. :-\
