12 weeks and so strong

Today, Caroline is 12 weeks old. I can't believe how quickly the first few weeks came and went. I've enjoyed every minute of my time with her. I don't know how I'm going to bring myself to leave her for work. At least I still have awhile. I don't go back until August 15.

Updates on Caroline's progress:

She is still so strong! She's not very big on lying down and playing. She would much rather stand. She has very strong legs, so we pulled out the jump jump and let her try that out some. She's still getting used to it.

She babbles when she's a happy baby...aka well-rested. She does try to imitate noises. I have been successful twice in getting her to laugh. A couple weeks ago she surprised me with the cutest giggle everytime I yawned. Yesterday, she thought me saying, "Mama" was hilarious. She is truly our child - she is weird.

She sleeps for long periods of time at night now. She still has her occasional 3 hour-5 hour waking. But she has been consistent for 5 nights sleeping 7-9 hours, which means I've had about 6 hours straight of sleep. I feel like a different person - one that can function normally! She goes to bed early - anywhere between 7:30 and 8:30, so obviously, I don't get to bed when she does, but I try for early bedtimes.

She has taken to a bottle now too. She only has it once a day right now, but she will drink from it!

We went to the doctor yesterday for peace of mind. She had been running a low grade fever (99 F) for the past two days and just slightly stuffy, so we wanted to make sure it was nothing too concerning. Possible virus (generic answer), so, just make sure she doesn't get worse, basically.

Lastly, Miss C is being baptized Catholic on Saturday night. Since Brandon didn't have a very strong religious background, in that he didn't go to church religiously (no pun intended), we talked during our engagement about getting married in the Catholic church and raising our kids Catholic. We've chosen my sister, Emily to be her Godmother and B's cousin Ryan to be her Christian witness. He's not technically the Godfather because he is not Catholic. I just hopes she cooperates in church for us.
