Overdue for an update

Sorry its been so long since I've written. I've been a little busy with the little one and then everything else that has to be done.

Caroline will be 10 weeks tomorrow! I can't believe how fast its going. She sleeps peacefully on her stomach in her crib in the nursery each night now. She's not on any set, rigid schedule. There's no need for one since I'm home and not going back to work until August. She's usually awake about 1 hour before she goes down for a nap. It's hard to say how the self-soothing is going. I'll put her down drowsy, but awake sometimes for naps and she'll fuss for a short period. Then other times, she eats and falls asleep prior to naps. Her bedtime is anywhere between 9 and 11pm. On good nights, she sleeps all the way through the night (she has hit 8 hours before!) Then, some nights its every 3 hours.

She talks a lot in the mornings and this morning she laughed for the first time. You betcha I recorded it! She is so aware.

We read during the day and I get her to play on her back and some on her tummy. She hasn't figured out that she is capable of rolling over. She has done this in her crib when she's throwing a fit. From tummy to back and she can even push herself to the corner of her crib. She is such a strong little girl.

She is a thumb sucker and we are transitioning to a bottle. It's been a little tough trying to get her to take one, but we're working on it!

I've been getting ready for the beach trip in June by finding swimwear and outfits to actually fit her. Last Wednesday she was 9 lbs 7 oz and 21.5 inches long. She's about the size Gracie was when she was born (ok, a little bigger, but not by much!) I'm hoping she will chunk up a little bit!
