Sorry for the complaining.
And yes, probably having a child has made it a little busier than it would be normally. Less time to actually complete things around the house without having to chase a 12 month old around. Weddings, birthdays, showers, family gatherings, and trips fill up the weekends while the weeks are busy in routine.
All of it making time fly by. My sweet girl already a year and not slowing down. She runs us around like crazy and expends all my energy most week nights. Unfortunately, in my line of work, my job is never done (that is a teacher and a mom). Once leaving school, its mom time, then Caroline's bedtime brings the teacher back out to finish up work at home. If I have time or energy, I'll attempt a workout. No WAY I could coach and fully be the mom I want to be. Kudos to those who have the patience to handle that end of the teaching job (extracurriculars).
Of course lately with all the fuss around school, I've been thinking of alternative jobs that would give the same perks -- good breaks for holidays and summer. The stress and crap we deal with at school is sometimes too much that makes me think twice about being a teacher. It is a great job to have to be a family person with the breaks and summers, but Lord help me stay sane as the school atmosphere, responsibility, and attitude continues to change with the changing behavior of society.
But enough complaining...Gotta get to work - Monday will be here all too soon.
