Now I know why when we were younger and our parents told us that we should enjoy being a kid and not want to grow up so fast...because it does suck.
We're trying to make a big decision about a place to live that will jump our expenses up and lower our savings...its a gamble we take. Will we love it there? Can we REALLY afford it? DO we want to afford it? Is this what we really want?
Yesterday when we got our "good faith estimate" all I could do was cry. Its been a frustrating, stressful road. Since the last house didn't work out and we spent money on the inspection (about 275 I think) and then money on the loan application (well over $300) just to find out we aren't getting the house was painful enough. Then Brandon comes home with the numbers for this townhome (purchase price nearly $6,000 less than the other) and to see the payment each month goes up just made me break. I was so frustrated with the whole process. This inspection had actually gone really well and we liked the place, but the numbers and rules weren't looking great. I don't want to go through ANOTHER failed contract. That's more money out the door for what?
For all you out there doing the same thing, I feel your pain. But hey, at least the interest rates are really low :)
