So, my last post explained my symptoms. My dizziness was caused by what we believe to be a whiplash injury from early May wakeboarding fall. I can remember the pain like it was yesterday. Falling and snapping my neck back as I hit the water and the screaming pain up my arm and neck...so afraid to move. I didn't take the time to let the injury heal like I should have. I worked through the pain...and my body finally answered back.
So now I had to take the awful news of possibly taking 6 months to a year off of weights. Are you serious? It may take that long just to get my muscles back to normal. Great. All I can do is cardio....and right now its a struggle everyday just keeping on the meds for inflammation and getting through the soreness/pain. But at least I'm not dizzy.
Atlanta was rough this weekend. As many of you may know from watching the game. It was freezing. It was in the 40's, but there were wind gusts....strong ones. The cold did not help my muscles at all...neither did the ride down and back. I enjoyed the late nights riding around Atlanta looking for a certain place (ESPN Zone that closed down). Spending the entire day in the freezing cold. Eating dinner on Friday night at 11pm at the cheesecake factory. The ants in one of our hotel rooms. The tahoe NOT starting after the game because the battery was dead. But it was good to see all the Soperton crew, spend some quality time with B. I got some shopping done at the outlet mall, so it wasn't a bad trip at all. But...we came home with some good stories. :)
